| Paul Hamer was born in
Nuremberg, Germany and immigrated to the United States with his
parents as a small child. He grew up in Manhattan and New Jersey
and graduated from Rutgers University in 1957. After serving as
a lieutenant in the United States Army, Mr. Hamer worked for Prudential
Insurance Company and International Business Machines (IBM) in the
emerging computer science industry.
In 1994, Paul Hamer left his position as an executive at IBM to
begin Southeast Houston Cardiology with his son Dr. David Hamer.
Over the past ten years, what started out as a small doctor's practice
in a eleven hundred square foot office has grown into a large organization
with two office locations, several cardiologists and a full array
of modern diagnostic and therapeutic technology.
